We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Coach to provide individualized support to persons with brain injuries or neurological conditions. This role focuses on functional skill development and problem-solving to promote greater independence in daily living.
As a Life Skills Coach, you will work directly with clients in their homes and community settings, guiding them through tasks. This is a non-clinical, non-medical role that does not involve personal care, ADLs, medication administration, or medical treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients in building and strengthening functional life skills
- Assist with problem-solving in day-to-day situations
- Help clients develop routines and strategies for:
Household management
Meal planning and preparation
Time management and scheduling
Cognitive skill development
Health and wellness promotion
Collaborate with the client’s care team to implement support strategies
Document client progress and maintain accurate service records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED ; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, rehabilitation) preferred
- Experience working with individuals with brain injuries or neurological conditions is a strong plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt support to each client’s needs
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel is required for the role)
Work Environment:
This position involves working in client homes and community settings. Some travel may be required. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on client needs.
