The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the Purchasing Department by handling multiple duties to support the purchasing strategy for Freddy’s.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Partner with suppliers and distributors to develop strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
- Track project performance, supplier metrics, and cost impacts to support data‑driven decisions.
- Produce and manage product usage, history, and contract verification reports using internal and distributor data.
- Handle purchasing‑related emails, calls, and communications from restaurants and franchisees; provide timely and accurate systemwide updates.
- Assist in product sourcing, testing, and onboarding.·
- Support the rollout of new tools and processes that enhance sourcing efficiency.
- Identify and execute cost savings opportunities without compromising product quality.·
- Maintain current contracts and pricing agreements within the supply chain program, ensuring all terms, updates, and cost changes are
- accurately documented and reflected systemwide.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree preferred OR level of education with relevant work experience to meet the requirements of the position (minimum 3 years of work experience)
- Restaurant, purchasing, inventory and/or supply chain experience preferred

- Self-initiator with the ability to solve problems
- Must be highly organized and task oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines, and adapt readily to changing priorities

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Excellent people skills and the ability to build and maintain positive, supportive working relationships
