POSITION SUMMARY:

The E-Commerce Inventory Manager supports the Merchandising Department in managing online merchandise inventory and fulfilling customer orders following the Festival. This position oversees the flow of inventory designated for e-commerce sales, ensures accurate order packing and shipment, maintains inventory records, and coordinates shipping logistics. The role works closely with the Merchandising Director and Merchandising Administrator to ensure that all online merchandise orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Pre-Festival Functions Include

  • Assist with organizing and preparing merchandise inventory designated for e-commerce sales.
  • Create and maintain Excel workbooks or inventory databases tracking available online merchandise stock.
  • Coordinate with the Merchandising Department to identify items reserved for online fulfillment following the Festival.
  • Assist in organizing storage areas and labeling inventory to support efficient order fulfillment after the Festival.

Festival Day Functions Include

  • Monitor inventory levels of merchandise allocated for e-commerce fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for items designated for online sales.
  • Coordinate with booth inventory teams to ensure proper allocation of merchandise for post-Festival online fulfillment.
  • Identify and set aside remaining inventory that will be used to fulfill online orders after the Festival.
  • Assist the Merchandising Administrator with inventory verification and documentation as needed.
  • Assist with movement of merchandise during the Festival to service e-commerce as needed.

Post-Festival Functions Include

  • Manage the inventory designated for online merchandise orders following the Festival.
  • Coordinate the flow of inventory from Festival storage areas to the e-commerce fulfillment workspace.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare merchandise orders for shipment based on online store orders.
  • Verify order accuracy, including correct items, sizes, and quantities before shipment.
  • Print shipping labels and prepare packages for shipment through designated carriers.
  • Maintain daily order fulfillment tracking and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Monitor shipping supplies (boxes, mailers, tape, labels, etc.) and request restocks as needed.
  • Deliver prepared shipments to shipping vendors (e.g., shipping centers or parcel services) as directed.
  • Track and reconcile shipped orders to ensure accurate fulfillment reporting.
  • Assist with resolving order discrepancies, missing items, or fulfillment issues.
  • Maintain organized storage and documentation of remaining merchandise inventory.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

This position prefers a person with retail, merchandising, warehouse, or order fulfillment experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Candidates must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with inventory tracking systems or e-commerce platforms is helpful.


The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling merchandise inventory, packing orders efficiently, and maintaining accurate records. The individual must be task-oriented, able to follow directions, and have well-developed communication skills.
