Bomberger's Store - Urgent Immediate Part Time Seasonal Customer Service Team Member Needed: 10-15 Hours Weekly

Responsibilities

  • Operates a computerized cash register to process orders, customer returns, and issue cash or credit. 
  • Accepts and processes payments on customer accounts. Collects rent payments from tenants. 
  • Processes purchases of store gift cards; prepares donations of these items. 
  • Processes transactions for the purchase of Pennsylvania hunting, fishing, and dog licenses and compiles reports. 
  • Processes transfers of merchandise to departments within the store. 
  • Creates special orders, accepts payment, and finalizes upon full payment. 
  • Processes transactions to pay cash to selected vendors or employees of the store. 
  • Checks balances and answers routine questions from customers regarding their store accounts. 
  • Utilizes the store phone system to answer calls and assist customers by answering any questions, taking a message, or transferring calls to another department. 
  • Uses store radio regularly for customer assistance. 
  • Assists customers by getting prices or resolving price discrepancies, helping to locate products or merchandise, and answering general questions. 
  • Listens to customer feedback and complaints; resolves problems. 
  • Assists in activities to prepare for opening or closing of the store. 
  • Orders and maintains the proper amount of money in the customer service safe. 
  • Keeps customer service station clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies. 
  • Refills customer queue stock and informs a shift lead if products need ordered. 
  • Redeems coupons. 
  • Bags customer merchandise. 
  • Collects trash from checkout area and takes to warehouse for disposal 
  • Put back items to the correct place in the store after returned by customers. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR one to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to work weekday evenings and an every other Saturday rotation.
  • Part Time (approximately 10-15 hours weekly)
  • Seasonal (needed through the spring season)
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Commitment to regular attendance and teamwork.
  • Needs to be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift or move up to approximately 25 pounds.
