Summary:
Sells paint, accessories, and a variety of home improvement and decorating merchandise by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides service to customers in the department. Actively listens and asks questions to evaluate customer’s needs and finds the product or solutions to meet those needs.
- Mixes paint using a computerized system.
- Keeps department organized, clean and appealing to customers.
- Performs inventory of products assigned by the manager.
- Stocks shelves with incoming merchandise in a timely manner.
- Works with other associates to ensure coverage in all areas of the division.
- Maintains full knowledge of the layout of the department and can easily locate product. Maintains a working knowledge of the entire Hardware Division.
- Assists in other areas of the Division as needed or requested.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
On a regular basis the position:
- Is required to stand on concrete; walk and talk or hear.
- Is required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include color vision and ability to adjust focus from close to distant.
On a frequent basis the position:
- Is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Is required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
On an occasional basis the position:
- Is required to sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch and taste or smell.
- Climb a 4 foot ladder.
- Is required to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Is exposed to all four seasons of outside weather conditions.
