Ace Thrift Supply Delmont is looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Cashier Associate (Full-Time).
As a Cashier Associate, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience — greeting shoppers, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring every checkout experience is quick and pleasant. You'll also help maintain a clean, organized checkout area, assist with bagging purchases, and support the team with stocking and merchandising when needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Checkout & Transactions – Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges. Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods following store policies. Ensure each transaction is completed with friendly, attentive service
- Customer Experience – Greet every customer warmly, answer basic product or store questions, and direct shoppers to the right department or associate when needed. Make the checkout process quick, smooth, and positive — representing Ace’s values of service and community in every interaction
- Store Appearance – Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area. Ensure bagging supplies are replenished, promotional materials are displayed, and impulse merchandise is neatly arranged
- Store Operations Support – Assist with returns, price checks, gift cards, and Ace Rewards enrollment. Support daily tasks like opening/closing preparation and stocking front-end merchandise. Follow store procedures and help maintain a safe, organized workspace.
- Teamwork & Communication – Work collaboratively with team members and take direction from supervisors. Communicate effectively, ask questions, and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented workplace
- Learning & Development – Participate in ongoing training to build product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational understanding. Be open to feedback and development opportunities to grow within the company
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to quickly and accurately handle cash, make change, and process transactions
- Strong communication and people skills with a customer-first mindset
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physically able to work on your feet for extended periods
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn store point of sale software
- Reliable, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
