Position Overview


The Director of Operations plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that every area of the restaurant operates with excellence. This individual will focus on leading and developing leaders, building sustainable systems and processes, and driving overall operational performance. This position is ideal for a results-driven, servant-hearted leader who is passionate about developing people, improving systems, and building a high-performing culture.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor department leaders and team members.
  • Create a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Model Chick-fil-A’s values through servant leadership and teamwork.


Systems & Process Management

  • Develop and refine operational systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Analyze workflows and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and brand compliance.
  • Implement sustainable systems that support long-term operational success.


Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
  • Partner with leaders to achieve key performance goals in service, quality, and speed.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support and reinforce Chick-fil-A’s brand reputation for excellence.


Strategic & Financial Stewardship

  • Collaborate with the Owner/Operator to develop and execute operational strategies.
  • Manage labor, food cost, and productivity to achieve business objectives.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and optimize performance.


Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in restaurant or operations management (Chick-fil-A experience preferred).
  • Strong ability to lead, train, and develop others.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in creating systems and improving operational performance.
  • Committed to Chick-fil-A’s values of excellence, integrity, and care.
