Kitchen Shift Manager (3 Day Work Week)

Job Title: Shift Manager


As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading our team during scheduled shifts. You will be responsible for supporting daily operations, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met, maintaining a positive guest experience, and providing leadership and guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support team members during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Assist with training, coaching, and providing feedback to team members to maintain high performance and morale
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Monitor food quality, order accuracy, and speed of service to maintain an exceptional guest experience
  • Handle shift-level staffing assignments, including breaks, station coverage, and task delegation
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures as scheduled
  • Communicate shift updates, successes, and challenges to senior management

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience required; leadership experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle shift-level problem solving
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus
  • Availability to work 12 hour shifts (3 Day Work Week), including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Utah Food Handlers Card is required. ServSafe certification preferred but not required
