Join our team as we prepare to open our new Ace Hardware store! We’re looking for friendly, dependable cashiers who enjoy helping people and making every customer feel welcome.
Position Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Accurately process purchases, returns, and payments using our point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash and balance your assigned register.
- Introduce customers to Ace Rewards and share current promotions.
- Help customers locate products or connect them with a knowledgeable associate.
- Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Assist with light stocking, pricing, and other store tasks as needed.
- Follow store policies and work with the team to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic math and computer skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn our products, systems, and store procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with merchandise, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
- Availability for a part-time schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.
