Overview:

Step Therapy Pediatrics is seeking a part-time or full-time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. We provide pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy services for children with a variety of developmental challenges. Our clinic offers a lovely facility, a great staff, and an always busy, never boring work environment. Join us and serve the best families in the state!


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment programs to meet the individual needs of children
  • Educate and demonstrate therapy techniques to parents, caregivers, or guardians for home program facilitation
  • Responsible for timely documentation of progress reports, daily notes, and attendance reports
  • Maintain communication with the child's primary physician through progress reports
  • Collaboratively incorporate best practices and demonstrate a willingness to question established practices
  • Attend in-service training and continuing education courses
  • Maintain professional clinical competency by attending certified CEU in-service or workshops
  • Participate in public speaking or community education programs
  • Provide clinical supervision to PT and PTA students
  • Adhere to agency safety policies and procedures
  • Assist in developing strategic and long-range plans for Step Therapy Pediatrics
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Clinic Director


Team Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meet with the team to provide information and advance the organization's objectives
  • Assist the team in setting and attaining goals
  • Develop a system of mutual support and positive peer interaction
  • Advocate for the needs of the individuals we serve


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with EMR
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and coding


Minimum Requirements:

  • Physical Therapy Degree - Clinical Doctorate or Masters
  • Current national certification
  • Current State License - DORA
  • 1-3 years of experience treating children in any setting
