Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Position Summary
The HR Assistant supports company-wide operations by providing comprehensive administrative and HR support within a fast-paced QSR franchise environment. This role contributes to efficient office management, accurate record-keeping, and smooth execution of HR processes. Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment, employee relations, compliance, guest relations, office operations, and corporate communications. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Support
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Track and follow up on Zenput tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with talent acquisition, including job postings, resume screening, background checks, and interview coordination.
- Support employee relations activities such as investigations, exit interviews, and employment verifications.
- Assist with guest relations and ensure timely resolution of concerns.
- Support maintenance of the company’s performance management system.
- Assist with HR compliance initiatives, including ACA reporting, FMLA administration, and adherence to employment laws in Louisiana and Mississippi.
- Manage medical support notices, OSHA documentation, and other compliance-related reporting.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR records.
Administrative & Office Support
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, copying, data entry, phone communications, and meeting coordination.
- Manage the company’s LinkedIn page and coordinate content updates.
- Attend LUBA (workers’ compensation) visits and assist with documentation.
- Handle check deposits, track deposit slips, and manage related administrative requests.
- Assist with office functions including mail distribution, inventory of supplies, restocking, and ordering food or materials for meetings and company events.
- Assist company meetings, trainings, and events.
- Provide executive-level administrative support to the Executive Team as needed.
- Greet and assist office visitors and ensure common areas remain organized and presentable.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative or HR experience; QSR or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through skills.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
