The Marketing Associate focuses on increasing brand awareness and engagement for the Harbor Bay Hospitality Group restaurants through traditional marketing and digital marketing tactics. The Marketing Associate is a self-starter and creative thinker who thrives under pressure, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment and will work with our internal teams to help develop and execute the marketing and content strategies.

 

Job Responsibilities


Strategy

  • Together with HBH leadership, develop strategic marketing and content plans quarterly and monthly that support the Harbor Bay Hospitality Group restaurant's business goals and drive awareness and demand across customer segments.
  • Assess the best digital avenues for meeting the group’s business goals in order to support engagement and growth of all appropriate digital platforms, including but not limited to: email marketing, loyalty, reviews, CRM, and various established and emerging social media platforms to grow digital traffic and sales.
  • Collaborate with the Harbor Bay Hospitality leadership team to adjust marketing budgets based on market conditions throughout the year.
  • Stay apprised of marketing best practices and make strategic recommendations.
  • Understand and know the competitive landscape.

Broad-Based Marketing Responsibilities

  • Ideate, develop, and collaborate on content for social media and digital marketing
  • Testing campaigns, analyzing key metrics, and identifying opportunities to increase campaign performance.
  • Brainstorm new and innovative creative ideas to deliver better brand experiences through content.
  • Partner with Marketing Manager to stay up to date on digital best practices and industry/competitor trends, provide actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Have a commitment to brand consistency, managing schedules, cross-functional team communication, testing, and thorough analysis and tracking.
  • Track results across social media and digital platforms for initiatives/campaigns and provide insights and recommendations to help improve engagement and overall customer/brand experience.
  • Manage hospitality marketing efforts, including amplification of events in partnership with marketing and hospitality team.
  • Evaluate opportunities for in house marketing events and sponsorship as it relates to ROI a business growth

Email Marketing Responsibilities

  • Experienced in targeted email marketing.
  • Ability to generate and manage engaging digital content and copy.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Manage and monitor email campaigns and communication of brands through email marketing.
  • Utilizes best practices for email marketing development and increasing interactions, including CAN SPAM compliance, effective subject lines, and knowledge of how HTML emails render across email clients
  • Drive interactions via email marketing including outbound electronic marketing utilizing a CRM system.
  • Execute and track the performance of our email web platform marketing campaigns.
  • Must work collaboratively with the digital, communications, and design teams to convert marketing campaign concepts into effective email programs.

Digital Marketing/SEO/Web

  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing.
  • Experienced in SEO and online paid campaigns.
  • Project management owner for all paid campaigns and promos in conjunction with Marketing Manager, develop digital marketing strategies and facilitate creating content for online campaigns, including SEO and paid search.
  • Identify opportunities to generate and enhance lead generation activities.
  • Conduct regular website audits and updates.


Job & Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or related field is a plus
  • Minimum 3-5 years of digital marketing experience including project/campaign management and execution, digital strategy, and reporting
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry, or digital agency preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines without compromising quality
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams while also being able to work independently once strategy is defined
  • Experience with any of the below tools (or like tools) is a plus: Indesign, Canva, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, AdBook, Google ad manager, Blinkfire, Emplefi, Conviva, Hootsuite, Adobe, Google Analytics
  • Very strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
  • Must be proactive and solution-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Community building and relationship building skills
  • Experience developing content and creating social media campaigns
  • Experience with ad trafficking and inventory management
  • Analytic skills, experience with digital metric tracking, measuring, and reporting
  • Must be willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends and especially during special events
