We're looking for our next great Utility/Maintenance Team Member to join our team!


The Utility/ Maintenance Team Member is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the restaurant and maintenance of the equipment. Supports the team and leaders by assisting with dishwashing and assisting with minor repairs around the restaurant. Supports the leadership by monitoring and maintaining inventory and ensuring proper storage. Ensures food safety and proper storage standards are met and maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, lobby, play area, and exterior spaces.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, freezers, coolers, thawing cabinets and other kitchen appliances.
  • Performs routine fryer filter cleaning to ensure safe and optimal equipment performance.
  • Handles waste management, including trash disposal to designated areas.
  • Receives, inspects and properly stores goods from deliveries using the First In, First Out method.
  • Verifies product accuracy and documents and communicates to the Directors any missing or damaged goods.
  • Manages stock levels of food, supplies and paper products.
  • Organizes and maintains storage areas for easy access and accurate stock records.
  • Maintains and repairs equipment, such as the dishwasher, refrigeration units, and cash registers. This role will work as needed with outside contractors regarding repairs or maintenance that cannot be managed in-house.
  • Performs minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs and fixing drive-thru intercoms, etc.
  • Maintains outdoor areas, including sweeping pathways and clearing waste bins.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to report discrepancies or issues with equipment, inventory, or product quality.
  • Fulfill any additional duties assigned by the Leader or Director.
  • Honors and encourages others to follow and fulfill the purpose and values of the Chick-fil-A Atlantic Avenue.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Completion of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or food service is a plus but not required.  
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be available to work Monday to Saturday between 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible schedules when needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on foot for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in the heat and in the cold (freezer/fridge).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
