SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Front of House staff member is responsible for assisting patrons, working in the storefront, processing food orders, packaging orders, and maintaining a clean kitchen and store environment.
This work assignment will be at Pizza Box, 1253 Jacklin Road, Milpitas, CA, 95035.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets customers upon entrance and educates customers throughout their experience in the store.
- Assists store patrons in selecting their selections for food, drinks, or other items.
- Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
- Relay customers’ orders to the kitchen staff.
- Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
- Accept cash and return the correct change.
- Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
- Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
- Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
- Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces.
- Help kitchen staff when needed.
- Responsible for achieving store goals as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- Follows all company policies, food safety standards, and kitchen procedures.
- Maintains strong communication skills and positive energy.
- Assists other team members during high-volume time periods.
- Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of their experience with the store.
- Handles customer complaints and concerns appropriately and brings them to the Shift Supervisor’s attention when necessary.
- Responsible for following all set up and closing protocols.
- Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
- Food Handler Card required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Restaurant experience preferred.

- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- This position does require the ability to perform under stressful conditions and high-volume demands.
