To support the expansion of our restaurant operations throughout Illinois, we're looking for a District Manager to lead multiple restaurants, develop high‑performing General Managers, and help take GYG to the next level. This role is perfect for a hands‑on, people‑first leader with strong operational and financial acumen who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑unit environment.


About the role


As a District Manager, you’ll have full operational and financial accountability for a small group of Guzman y Gomez restaurants. Your focus will always come back to our core pillars of FOOD, PEOPLE and GUEST. Day to day you will:

  • Ensure 100% food safety and food quality, always!
  • Coach leaders on flawless execution of recipes, portioning and standards.
  • Be hands‑on in restaurant operations. You’re comfortable jumping onto the line when needed.
  • Deliver an outstanding guest experience, every guest, every time.
  • Hold teams accountable to speed of service, accuracy and guest experience standards.
  • Support General Managers in resolving guest feedback and complaints.
  • Hire, develop and coach high‑performing General Managers, Assistant General Managers and Shift Leads.
  • Build strong bench strength and succession plans across your district.
  • Own the P&L for your district, analyzing sales trends and effectively managing controllable costs.
  • Partner with General Managers to build action plans that drive sales and margin.

About you


We’re looking for someone who combines operational excellence with inspirational leadership. We're looking for someone with:

  • Multi‑unit leadership experience in QSR, fast casual, hospitality or food & beverage.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
  • A solid understanding of restaurant financials and P&L management.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and learning new systems.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • An IL Food Manager Certification.
  • A willingness to travel between restaurants and Hola Central regularly.
