Who are we?
Guzman y Gomez (GYG) is an Australian-born fast-food company, specializing in clean, fresh and healthy Mexican food. We opened our doors in Sydney in 2006, with a mission to re-invent the fast-food category. From the outset, we were adamant that GYG would never compromise on the quality of the food or its people.
Today, we’re proud to boast a 100% clean menu, meaning there are no added preservatives, artificial flavors, added colors or unacceptable additives in our food.

As the Field Marketing Manager, you'll be:
- Our boots-on-the-ground brand ambassador in the Chicagoland area, enthusiastically representing Guzman y Gomez and building local connections.
- Leveraging your high energy and extroverted personality to engage with local community groups and businesses, fostering partnerships and building brand awareness.
- Driving catering interest by proactively reaching out to local organizations and businesses, showcasing our delicious and clean menu options.
- Utilizing your deep understanding of the Chicago market, including the unique characteristics of different locations, to create targeted and effective outreach.
- Collaborating with the team to create compelling content that resonates with the Chicago community and highlights our unique clean food promise.
- Juggling ad hoc administrative tasks on a day-to-day basis, supporting our restaurant teams to ensure they have the marketing collateral and assets required to ensure expected campaign outcomes!
You will have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
- A keen interest in our brand and the clean eating movement
- An energetic and outgoing personality with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a knack for building rapport
- A strong understanding of the Chicago market and its diverse communities
- Experience in grassroots marketing, community outreach, or sales, particularly in the food and beverage industry (a plus!)
- A proactive and creative approach to building relationships and generating leads
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (travel throughout Chicagoland is required)
