Commissary Prep Cook

All candidates for this position will be reporting to the Owings Mills MD location to work and MUST work Sundays.


Job Description

A commissary prep cook preps items using daily prep/par sheets. Using pre-shift and post-shift prep list, stock station. Using standardized recipes create components for menu items for restaurants. Keep a clean, organized and sanitized station based on Servsafe and jurisdictional health code standards. Must be able to lift heavy pans and boxes. Proper communication with associates and management. Other duties as assigned.

 


Roles/Responsibilities

Set up and Break down of assigned station

Prep/stock inventory of assigned station

Follow recipe guide to prepare menu components 

Follow all federal, state and local health and safety guidelines in performance of duties

Prepare menu components to spec and package them appropriately for delivery to restaurants

Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Must be able to work on Sundays.

Must be able to report to our Owings Mills MD location to work.

Ability to read and follow standardized recipes

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Follow all federal, state and local health and safety guidelines in performance of duties

Be at least 18 years of age

Have reliable means of transportation

Be willing to work a flexible schedule

Have the ability to lift and carry 10 to 55 pounds

Effectively communicate in English or Spanish
