Executive Director of Operations
Overview: The Executive Director of Operations empowers our team to make Chick-fil-A Valparaiso the best place to work and eat in Valparaiso. They are a true business partner with the operator and see the business from a 30,000 foot view (month to quarter, quarter to year, and year to 5 years). They lead the Front of House, Back of House, and Outside Sales directors and ensure alignment across the director team.
Role and Responsibilities:
As the needs of the business change, duties and responsibilities are subject to change.
1) Operations:
- Oversees all guest facing operations.
- Operational KPIs:
- Speed of Service under 4 minutes all day
- Smart Shop Quality Report percentage in the top 20%
- Food Safety Score 2 or better
2) Stewardship:
- Oversees overall profit
- Positive Food cost within .5 of target
- Labor in top 50%
- Oversees and looks over schedule each week
- Creates budgets for all other areas
3) People
- Responsible for ensuring the team is held to CFA and CFA Valpo standards in regards to disciplinary actions.
- Helps in interviews as needed.
- Works with HR director to ensure we are fully staffed at all times
- Develops Operational leaders and holds directors accountable to holding standards.
- All directors are performing to standard
4) Goal setting and vision casting
- Works with executive team to cast vision for the operation for the whole restaurant
- Helps lead and attends weekly leadership meetings
