Primary Goal:
The Human Resources Coordinator will perform a wide variety of activities including hiring, onboarding, recruitment strategies, talent acquisition, retention strategies, scheduling responsibilities, employee engagement activities, and handling employee documentation and conversations that align with the vision and mission of Chick-fil-A Altoona.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee HR sourcing, screening of candidates, and manage HR software system to correctly track candidates
- Schedule interviews, conduct interviews, and follow up with candidates on their employment status
- Schedule new hire onboardings and conduct orientations with new employees
- Collect, organize, and file all paperwork for employees to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Complete a weekly schedule for the store to ensure the business if fully staffed
- Oversee probationary periods and work with the Directors and Managers to assess new employee performance and behavior
- Maintain records for employee benefits, disciplinary actions, counseling sessions, and paid time off
- Assist with scheduling, implementing and executing employee reviews and feedback sessions, including counseling sessions
- Coordinate and implement employee engagement activities to celebrate special occasions and increase employee retention/satisfaction
- Assist with employee training and development initiatives
- Oversee and ensure all HR policies and procedures are always followed correctly
- Manage social media platforms for HR initiatives and employee engagement
- Assist with other Owner/Operator administrative responsibilities, when necessary
- Handle paperwork and processes for employee terminations
- Track time-keeping records, absences, point violations, and perform payroll functions
- Oversee advancement guide and employee growth and development initiatives
- Demonstrate a willingness to assist with guests and operations during a portion of the workday
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role or talent management role
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field strongly preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Business acumen to assess business, personnel, and staffing needs
- Self-motivated and able to lead human resource initiatives
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA
- Experience with performance management processes and training development
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time

- Saturdays only on an add-needed basis for HR-related responsibilities

- Altoona, PA 16601: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
