MWL Festival Production is seeking Emergency Medical Services Personnel for its client Magical Winter Lights - a spectacular, larger-than-life 45-day festival that presents a fresh multicultural take on traditional holiday light shows.
About the role
EMS personnel provide first response medical aid to any customers who experience an injury in the festival grounds.
An ideal candidate is:
- Proficient attention to detail and organization.
- Punctual, and committed to all general responsibilities.
- Proficient at communicating with customers, coworkers, and management.
- Personable and friendly, while maintaining consistent professionalism in all interactions with customers.
Responsibilities Include:
- Remaining on standby at First Aid station in MWL prepared to respond to medical emergencies during all scheduled festival operating hours.
- Administering first aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured persons at MWL.
- Assessing severity of injury or condition, determining if additional medical care is required and contacting local emergency medical services for aid if necessary, while continuing to provide care until the patient is in stable condition or additional medical assistance has arrived.
- Observing, accurately recording, and reporting the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to treatment.
- Keeping consistent, accurate records and reporting all incidents.
Requirements:
- Basic EMT certification or higher level medical training certification
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the festival at The Fort Bend County Fairgrounds.
- Legal working status in the United States
- Must be available to work afternoon hours, weekends as well as holidays if scheduled (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day)
Desired Skills:
- 2 years of previous experience in EMS occupation, bilingual in English and Spanish, a reliable and calm demeanor.
