Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance of the plants and the garden section, including stocking, receiving, and tagging new products and live plants
- Delegate tasks among the garden center staff to ensure the completion of daily and weekly tasks
- Keep the lawn and garden section clean, neat, and organized
- Create displays for incoming product ·
- Print out and put up promotional materials and relevant signage
- Other tasks as assigned, including store associate/cashier responsibilities
Requirements
- Expertise in plants, soil, fertilizers, and gardening tools
- Inventory management, stocking, and merchandising
- Equipment handling and maintenance
- Team leadership, task delegation, and workflow management
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Product recommendations, upselling, and signage accuracy
- Adaptability to seasonal changes and weather conditions
- Physical stamina for lifting and long periods of standing
