Delivery Assistant
Do you have a knack for customer service but want to broaden your horizons? Have you thought about a career in driving but aren’t sure where to start? The Cool Hardware Company, Inc., is looking to hire an energetic and passionate Delivery Assistant to join our team. This role will provide support both in-store and out on the road, delivering merchandise and great customer service to our communities. This role is specifically intended to grow into a Delivery Driver position after training.
Shifts require flexibility in availability, including some weekends, to accommodate events and store needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver customer service with enthusiasm and genuine interest
- Assist with deliveries to customer homes
- Pull/process/stage customer orders for delivery
- Assemble merchandise as needed (Grills, furniture, etc.)
- Assist with in-store receiving, stocking, and pricing of merchandise
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and politely with customers in person and over the phone
- Be willing and able to grow into the role of Delivery Driver
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old and have a driving record that will be cleared by our insurance carrier
- Committed to excellent customer service
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs
- Ability to offer sales floor support when no active deliveries are scheduled
- Ability to assemble grills, furniture, power equipment, etc.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Retail experience preferre,d and previous home improvement knowledge helpful
