Role Overview:
The Kitchen Director - Evening will assist in leading all back-of-house operations, ensuring food safety, quality, speed, and cleanliness. This individual will develop and coach kitchen leaders and team members while maintaining a high-performance, guest-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Kitchen Director - Evening at Chick-fil-A Florissant, you will play a vital role in leading the kitchen team to achieve operational excellence and deliver high-quality food service. Your leadership will ensure that our kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead with Excellence: Inspire and lead the kitchen team by modeling operational and leadership standards, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Oversee Kitchen Operations: Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, cleanliness, food quality, food safety, and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Train and Mentor Team Members: Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members and leaders, ensuring consistent adherence to food safety protocols, quality standards, and speed of service.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with Chick-fil-A brand standards and health department regulations, creating a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with other Directors and the Operator to drive business results and achieve strategic goals, aligning kitchen operations with the overall mission of the restaurant.
- Create a Positive Work Environment: Develop and sustain a positive, high-energy work environment that emphasizes care, teamwork, and accountability among kitchen staff.
- Manage Costs Effectively: Monitor and manage labor and food costs to meet or exceed financial targets, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate a hands-on leadership style by working shoulder-to-shoulder with the team in the kitchen when necessary, reinforcing your commitment to the team's success.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Chick-fil-A values
- 2+ years of leadership experience in restaurant or food service management.
- Proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, servant-hearted demeanor.
- Passion for personal growth and helping others succeed.
- Availability to work a full-time schedule including early mornings, nights, and Saturdays (closed Sundays).
- Bilingual (not required)
