RSC Mechanical, a dynamic family-owned company headquartered in Clinton Township, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Refrigeration Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. As a Refrigeration Preventive Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of refrigeration and HVAC systems for our valued customers. KEY RESPONISBILITIES:  

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems as required. 
• Identify equipment not operating to OEM standards and document as required on customer-specific preventative maintenance forms.   
• Collaborate with other technicians, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. 
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance inventory.  
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns promptly and professionally. 
• Proficient in utilizing leak detection equipment to identify leaks in refrigerant, glycol, and other gas and fluid pipelines. Responsibilities include accurately tagging identified leaks and documenting them with photographs. 
• Report equipment that is down and not working properly as soon as identified to your manager.   
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. 

REQUIRMENTS: 

• EPA Universal certification required. 
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 
• High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial HVAC/refrigeration or in a training program. 
• Proficiency in maintaining and identifying problems on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.  
• Strong interest in HVAC systems, including controls and electrical components.  
• Excellent maintenance skills and attention to detail.  
• Strong ability to listen and adhere to verbal and written instruction. 
• Ability to take before and after pictures of all work performed. No exceptions.   
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.  
• Must have basic hand tools.

SCHEDULE:  

Monday to Friday, with some afterhours duties as customers require maintenance afterhours. Will be planned in advance. Night and overtime work to complete maintenance tasks will be required.
