Entry Level HVAC/R Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

In this role, you will perform essential preventative maintenance tasks, focusing on the cleaning and maintenance of a variety of equipment and facilities.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have an EPA Universal Certification.

 


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Clean evaporators, condensers, and motor rooms to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration systems.  
  • Vacuum dust out of the motor rooms and de-grease equipment as needed.   
  • Scrape and coat drain pans to prevent clogs and water damage.   
  • Replace mechanical clamps (cushion clamps) and clean up oil spills.  
  • Return used oil to recycling center and pick up PM materials from supply houses.   
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks as assigned and learn new skills on the job.   
  • Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.  
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative work environment and communicate effectively within the team. 
  • Must be organized, plan and coordinate work ahead of time.  
  • Responsible for operating a company vehicle and will be responsible for operating it properly.    
  • Treat clients with the highest respect and work to develop a partnership environment.  
  • Attention to detail and handle every client request with professionalism.  
  • Weld and braze with an open flame.  
  • Handle hazardous chemicals.  
  • Drive a company vehicle safely to customer locations.  
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management. 

 


Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  
  • EPA Universal certification is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.  
  • No prior experience required; willingness to learn and follow instructions.  
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.   
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions, including adverse weather.
