Position Overview:

RSC Mechanical is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as an Entry Level HVAC/R Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform essential preventative maintenance tasks, focusing on the cleaning and maintenance of a variety of equipment and facilities.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have an EPA Universal Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean evaporators, condensers, and motor rooms to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration systems.
- Vacuum dust out of the motor rooms and de-grease equipment as needed.
- Scrape and coat drain pans to prevent clogs and water damage.
- Replace mechanical clamps (cushion clamps) and clean up oil spills.
- Return used oil to recycling center and pick up PM materials from supply houses.
- Assist with other maintenance tasks as assigned and learn new skills on the job.
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative work environment and communicate effectively within the team.
- Must be organized, plan and coordinate work ahead of time.
- Responsible for operating a company vehicle and will be responsible for operating it properly.
- Treat clients with the highest respect and work to develop a partnership environment.
- Attention to detail and handle every client request with professionalism.
- Weld and braze with an open flame.
- Handle hazardous chemicals.
- Drive a company vehicle safely to customer locations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- EPA Universal certification is required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions, including adverse weather.
