A Director is a hands on business leader in the restaurant that takes on a specific area of ownership for the business. They are responsible for all aspects of operations, people, business metrics, and KPIs. They are also responsible for the growth and development of restaurant leaders (shift leaders). A Director is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. They partner with Executive Leadership in executing daily operations, business growth and development, and system execution. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership and has the ability to balance relationships and results. The ideal candidate also has the agility to recognize and meet short term needs in the business and simultaneously see the big picture and plan long term for the health of the business.
As an external candidate, this position would start as team member learning restaurant operations, culture, values, systems and processes. After evaluation and progress would move into a Restaurant Leader role, learning to lead operations, control business controllables, coaching, training and cross training. After evaluation and progress as a Restaurant Leader, the candidate would be considered and interviewed for a specific Director role in the restaurant. This process is estimated to take 6-12 months.
Specific areas of Director ownership and position are subject to the needs of the business. Areas of potential ownership include but are not limited to, General Manager (Executive Restaurant Director), Assistant General Manager, Kitchen Director, Drive Thru Director, Talent Director, Training Director, and Marketing Director.

Director Responsibilities:
- Participating hands on operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
- Coach, training and developing Restaurant Leaders and Team Members as it pertains to operations, teamwork, culture and performance.
- Providing accountability for Standard Operating Procedures, handbook policies and development of team members by Restaurant Leaders.
- Offer immediate and respectful response to Guest's needs.
- Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for restaurant, and act as a role model for our leaders and team.
- Be a friendly, encouraging team player.
- Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Partner with Executive Leadership to achieve business goals, and KPIs.
- Maintain administrative organization for specific area of business responsibility.
