Qualifications/Skills/Requirements
- Previous line cook, prep cook or kitchen experience is preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and instructions
- Knife skills or willingness to learn
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
- Strong communication skills as well as strong attention to detail
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items
- Set up, stock, prep, and maintain clean organized stations
- Follow proper food handling, labeling, dating, and rotation procedures (FIFO)
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils as needed
- Take out trash and maintain cleanliness of the dish area, prep areas, and kitchen floors.
