To oversee and lead the development and execution of operational excellence, cleanliness, and shift productivity.
Role Description:
The Operations Director is responsible for protecting operational excellence across the entire restaurant.
This leader ensures that every shift operates with discipline, productivity, and consistency by enforcing systems, maintaining exceptional cleanliness, and eliminating operational inefficiencies.
While FOH and BOH Directors focus on developing people and building strong teams, the Operations Director ensures the systems of the business are executed with precision.
This role owns the execution environment of the restaurant; ensuring shifts run efficiently, standards are upheld, and operational systems function consistently regardless of who is leading the shift.
The Operations Director plays a critical role in protecting speed of service, maintaining a best-in-class facility, and helping to build systems that allow the restaurant to scale without operational breakdown.

Success in this role is measured by consistent shift productivity, strong speed of service performance, effective labor stewardship, and a restaurant that operates smoothly without heavy executive oversight
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Support: Lead by example in Operations, drive strategic goals, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment to achieve excellent guest & team experiences.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment by working with leadership to address any performance issues and supporting leads in their roles.
- Collaborate/communicate with other Directors to ensure alignment.
- Partner with the Director Team to ensure a warm welcome/farewell and training for all new hires and launches.
- Assist BOH/FOH Executive Directors in finding coverage in case of call-outs or other coverage needs.
Operational Excellence: Work cross-functionally with other leaders, ensuring Operational Guidelines are being met or exceeded.
- Leads the execution of operational systems that drive productivity, consistency, and excellence across the restaurant.
- Ensures that the restaurant operates at a high level of discipline by auditing shift performance, protecting cleanliness standards, improving labor productivity, and eliminating operational bottlenecks.
- Work alongside the FOH and BOH Executive Directors, but focuses specifically on how the restaurant runs, not who runs it. Responsibility is to ensure systems are clear, standards are enforced, and execution remains consistent across every shift.
- Regularly observes peak operations, provides real-time coaching to shift leaders, identify operational breakdowns, and implement improvements that strengthen efficiency and consistency.
- Oversee and work with leadership to refine all kitchen systems and processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency in food preparation and service.
- Responsible for maintaining a facility that reflects the Chick-fil-A standard of excellence, ensuring that both front and back of house environments remain clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times.
- Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized kitchen and storage area including the freezer and walk-in.
Food Safety & Quality: Conduct food safety checks, monitor compliance, and uphold regulations.
- Ensure food safety and food quality practices are ingrained in our daily operations.
- Drive good processes in this area and ensure corrective actions are taken to rectify in a timely manner.
- Help validate and ensure FSA & RSAs are being completed daily with the team.
Training & Development: Support team training, development, and evaluations to ensure excellence across the team.
- Help oversee training systems and processes and ensure the most updated practices are being utilized.
- Provide insight and feedback for team members to the Executive team on performance and culture .
- Pioneer a culture of food safety and quality, along with proper procedures ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Communication & Accountability: Ensure accountability, coaching, and execution of policies, systems, and guest experience strategies while driving innovation and communication.
- Help ensure accountability at all levels.
- Work with the BOH and FOH Executive Directors to ensure compliance and oversight.
Guest Experience: Drive fast service, cleanliness, and proactive team behavior to enhance the overall customer experience.

- Productivity goal = $93 for the day
Requirements:
- 21 years or older
- 2 years of prior leadership experience
- ServSafe Manager Certification (We can help you obtain.)
- Full-time availability (35-40 hrs a week). Overtime approved when business demands—bottom line, be available to problem solve or be there if business requires it.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings (requirement to close at least one night a week and work at least one Saturday a month, minimum).
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and observation skills, ensuring consistent quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for promoting a culture of food safety and excellence.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
