Who We Are
At Chick-fil-A Newington, we believe a job can be more than a paycheck—it’s an opportunity to grow, mentor, and lead. We are looking for experienced, high-character professionals to join our evening team. Whether you are a retail leader looking for a more supportive environment, a community leader (such as a youth pastor) looking for a meaningful second role, or a parent re-entering the workforce, we offer a place where your maturity and emotional intelligence are truly valued.
The Leadership Development Track
This isn’t simply a team member role; it is a specialized track designed for individuals with the potential to move into official leadership. We do not typically hire leaders from the outside—we build them. We are looking for "culture carriers" who can close our restaurant with excellence and serve as a calming, professional presence in a high-pressure, high-energy environment.
What You’ll Do
Mentor & Model: Use your experience to provide guidance and a positive example for our team, fostering a culture of respect and hospitality.
Lead Through Pressure: Maintain a high level of emotional intelligence, ensuring every guest (and teammate) feels supported.
Operational Excellence: Master the fundamentals of either Front of House (Hospitality/Service) or Back of House (Kitchen/Food Safety) with a focus on a "strong close."
Growth Path: Engage in intentional leadership training to prepare for future Shift Lead or Director roles within the restaurant.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Competitive Pay: Starting at $18–$23+ based on experience.
Predictable Balance: Always closed on Sundays.
Flexible Scheduling: Shifts starting between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to accommodate your daytime commitments or family schedule.
Supportive Environment: Work in a culture that prioritizes people, professional growth, and community impact.
Requirements
Must be available for closing shifts (ending between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM).
Prior experience in leadership, retail management, or community mentorship is preferred.
A "servant-leader" mindset—willing to get your hands dirty while lifting others up.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, "fun-but-focused" atmosphere.
Note: When applying, please indicate your preference for Front of House, Back of House (Kitchen), or if you are open to both tracks!
