The Front of House (FOH) Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the restaurant’s FOH day-to-day operations. Their top priority is delivering fresh, fast, and safe food to exceed Guests' Expectations! He/she consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture, has a passion for people and serving others, has strong character, takes initiative and works with a sense of urgency at all times. Keeps team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and protects our core values by being a champion of culture and growth within the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant while adhering to Chick-fil-A standards and systems
- Address guest issues that may arise in a professional manner
- Build a high-performance team and develop them with coaching, training, accountability and leading by example
- Manage the assignments for all FOH stations
- Complete required daily, weekly and monthly checklists
- Ensure FOH and dining room are always clean
- Execute proper security and cash handling and control procedures
- Appropriately document employee performance and policy/procedure violations and take appropriate corrective actions with Team Members.
- Assign weekly positions of FOH team members
- Achieve or exceed goals related to: speed of service, order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and Winning Hearts Every Day strategies to positively influence business and team results
- Assist in training of new hires
- Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
- Review key FOH metrics, adhering to strict checklists/procedures, using standard tools, and always working towards continuous improvement.
- Is in constant communication with other restaurant leaders - working toward common restaurant goals and enabling each other's success.
- Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Availability
- Fully available Opening or closing shifts based on business needs, including Saturdays and holidays.
- This is a 40+ hour/week position.
Certifications
- Must complete NYC Food Handler training within a year of hiring
Qualifications
- Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
- Prior experience in a hospitality or food service role is not required but is preferred
- Able to work on your feet for several hours at a time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Consistent, reliable, with ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
