Position Summary:


The Executive Chef is responsible for all culinary activities at the Partridge Inn, Curio Collection by Hilton, overseeing the restaurant, banquet services, room service and all other food outlets within the property. This role requires a creative and experienced culinary leader who can ensure the highest quality food and presentation, while also managing costs and maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards.


Your duties will include recruiting new employees, responding to customer issues, and developing new menu options. You should have excellent communication skills with in-depth knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative and diverse menus for the restaurants, banquets and special events
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, taste and presentation
  • Regularly update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Oversee daily operations of all kitchen areas, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment
  • Develop and manage the kitchen budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Monitor food costs and implement measures to control waste and optimize food inventory
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality ingredients at the best prices
  • Ensure all food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and food storage areas
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback promptly
  • Participate in customer interactions to gauge satisfaction and preferences

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary science or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs.
  • Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
