JOB OBJECTIVE: The Director of Supply Chain leads end-to-end operations in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment, overseeing warehousing, logistics, procurement, and production planning. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective delivery performance through robust S&OP and inventory planning, leveraging ERP tools for real-time visibility and data-driven decisions, and drives compliance with food safety, DOT/OSHA, and HACCP standards while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence aligned with quality and cost objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Set and execute supply chain strategy aligned with company goals
- Planning & Forecasting: Implement robust S&OP and inventory planning processes
- Performance Optimization: Monitor OTIF delivery and cost metrics; drive improvements
- Technology Integration: Use ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) for planning and reporting
- Compliance: Maintain food safety, DOT, OSHA, and HACCP standards
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and mitigate risk
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and cost-reduction initiatives
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred
- 8+ years progressive experience in supply chain/logistics leadership
- Food/dairy manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on-site and support a 24/7 operation

Location & Work Environment
- This role is not eligible for remote work. Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.
- This is a full-time, on-site, exempt position, based in Petaluma, CA.
- On-Site Leadership: The work environment is fast-paced and requires hands-on involvement on the floor and in distribution centers to effectively oversee activities.
- Schedule & Availability: Core daytime business hours, but given the 24/7 nature of food manufacturing, availability must be flexible to resolve critical issues or to support major initiatives on off-shifts and weekends. Flexibility to work holidays is required.
