Team Leaders support the restaurant’s management team by overseeing shift operations, maintaining Chick‑fil‑A’s high standards of hospitality, and ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience. Team Leaders supervise assigned stations, guide Team Members, and may be responsible for opening or closing the restaurant in the absence of a manager. This role requires strong leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Ensure Team Members work efficiently to meet established speed‑of‑service goals.
  • Supervise assigned stations and maintain smooth shift flow.
  • Open or close the restaurant following established procedures when assigned.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally; escalate complex issues to leadership.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all employees, providing direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Communicate performance concerns or policy violations to management for follow‑up.

Quality, Safety & Cleanliness

  • Ensure all workstations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Monitor dining room, restrooms, parking lot, and overall facility cleanliness.
  • Ensure cashiers follow proper cash‑handling and security procedures at all times.
  • Hold Team Members accountable to Chick‑fil‑A standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform any station tasks as needed to support the team during the shift.

Team Support & Culture

  • Model Chick‑fil‑A’s values of hospitality, integrity, and excellence.
  • Treat all employees with respect while providing clear expectations and support.
  • Foster a positive, team‑focused environment that encourages growth and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Previous customer service and leadership experience required
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, honesty, and strong customer‑service skills
  • Ability to lead by example and uphold Chick‑fil‑A standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
