Facilities & Support Specialist

The Facilities & Support Team Member assists the Facilities & Support Director in maintaining a safe, clean, and fully operational restaurant. This role involves supporting daily maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks, helping execute preventive maintenance plans, ensuring that all equipment and facilities meet Chick-fil-A’s high standards, inventory and Cost of Goods. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong focus on safety and guest satisfaction. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Equipment & Maintenance Support 

  • Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of all FOH and BOH equipment. 
  • Help execute scheduled equipment cleaning and maintenance tasks under the guidance of the Facilities Director. 
  • Support minor repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks as directed. 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance actions and equipment status. 

Facilities & Grounds Support 

  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining the restaurant exterior, parking lot, landscaping, and interior spaces. 
  • Help with tasks such as power-washing, window cleaning, weed removal, and minor painting. 
  • Support HVAC, exhaust, and other system maintenance as directed. 

Inventory & Stock Management 

  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and maintaining proper stock levels of food items, condiments, packaging, and other restaurant supplies. 
  • Help prepare and check truck orders to ensure all items needed for daily operations are accurate and complete. 
  • Monitor inventory usage and report shortages or discrepancies promptly to the Facilities & Support Director. 
  • Ensure storage areas are organized, clean, and safe. 
  • Assist with daily/weekly/monthly inventory counts. 

Safety & Security 

  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure team member and guest safety. 
  • Assist in conducting safety checks and maintaining fire, security, and safety equipment. 
  • Report hazards, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions promptly to the Facilities Director. 

Administrative Support 

  • Help maintain organization of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts. 
  • Assist with vendor coordination for routine maintenance or minor repairs. 
  • Support documentation and record-keeping related to maintenance and facilities tasks. 

Qualifications: 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Experience: 

  • Experience in facilities maintenance, custodial work, or a related field preferred but not required. 

Skills & Attributes: 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and take direction from the Facilities Director. 
  • Basic problem-solving and mechanical aptitude. 
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills. 
  • Commitment to safety and following protocols. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform manual labor. 
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions. 

Schedule Requirements: 

  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or as needed for maintenance tasks.
