The Company boasts 2 different, yet complimentary brands, spanning the spectrum from Casual Daily Grill to the hip and trendy Public School Gastro Pubs, as well as a catering division.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced General Manager!
The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant including the selection, development and performance management of employees and maintaining the company culture of the restaurant while exceeding the financial objectives of the restaurant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Job Requirements:
- Proven 3-4 years experience as a General Manager in a full service restaurant
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Strong multi-tasking ability, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Positive and Professional Attitude
- Knowledge of business process and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, etc.)
- Excellent Communication skills
- Knowledge of Aloha, Outlook, Paycom and R365 management systems
- Strong analytical ability
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
