Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Floor Manager to support daily operations at Hilltop Tavern. This role works closely with ownership and management to ensure excellent guest experiences, efficient restaurant operations, and a positive team environment.
The Floor Manager helps oversee staff, maintain service standards, and ensure both restaurants operate smoothly during all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations
- Assist in managing daily front-of-house operations
- Ensure smooth service during busy shifts
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the restaurant
- Help manage opening and closing procedures
Staff Leadership
- Support hiring, training, and coaching of staff
- Supervise servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff during shifts
- Help create a positive, team-focused work environment
- Address employee concerns and provide guidance when needed
Guest Experience
- Ensure guests receive excellent service and hospitality
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently
- Maintain high standards for food presentation and service
Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling and shift coverage
- Help manage inventory and supplies
- Support daily cash handling and end-of-shift reporting
- Communicate important updates to staff and management
Qualifications
- Associates degree OR previous restaurant or hospitality management experience required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations is a plus
