The Drive-Thru Director is responsible for leading all aspects of drive-thru operations to deliver fast, accurate, and remarkable service. This role focuses on optimizing the speed of service, order accuracy, and team performance while creating efficient systems and workflows. The Drive-Thru Director develops and coaches leaders, ensures strong execution during high-volume periods, and drives continuous improvement in key performance metrics. They play a critical role in maximizing throughput, growing sales, and creating a high-energy, guest-focused culture aligned with Chick-fil-A’s standards of excellence.
Drive-Thru Director Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all Drive-Thru operations to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service
- Drive performance in key metrics (speed of service, order accuracy, guest experience, sales)
- Develop, coach, and hold Drive-Thru leaders and team members accountable
- Create and maintain efficient systems for order taking, cash handling, and meal delivery
- Optimize traffic flow, positioning, and staffing to maximize throughput
- Ensure consistent execution of Chick-fil-A hospitality standards in the Drive-Thru
- Monitor peak hours and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
- Partner with the leadership team to align Drive-Thru operations with overall business goals
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in all Drive-Thru areas
- Identify and develop future leaders within the Drive-Thru team
