Position Purpose:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests. This role plays a key part in upholding Hilton brand standards and delivering a consistently high level of service and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms and suites, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.
- Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sinks, toilets, tubs, mirrors, and floors.
- Replace linens and towels and ensure all items are stocked and in good condition.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping carts and storage areas.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Ensure all rooms meet Hilton brand cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel setting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, push/pull housekeeping carts, and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Fast-paced, physically active role requiring frequent movement and interaction with guests and team members.
- Team-oriented and guest-focused atmosphere.
