The General Store, a locally owned ACE Hardware store in Spokane, WA, is looking for a Store Greeter to join their team. As a Store Greeter, you will play a crucial role in welcoming customers, assisting with product location, and ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment.
General Summary:
- Provide positive representation of the store
- Assist customers in problem-solving
- Direct customers to the right shopping locations
- Ensure a friendly and outgoing in-store atmosphere
- Help maintain a professional and safe work environment
- Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service
- Proactively assist customers and provide guidance
- Greet and thank customers entering and exiting the store
- Promote store services like Knife Sharpening
- Store Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance and parking area
- Assist with inventory management and loss prevention
- Store Support Operations
- Follow all Loss Prevention policies and procedures
- Training of Associates
- Stay current on all training goals set by the manager
- Leadership
- Perform other tasks as requested
- Qualifications:
- High School or GED equivalent required
- No prior experience needed
- Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and climbing
