Black Bear Talent is hiring a Truck & Trailer Fabricator Welder!
This position involves truck and trailer frame repair, hydraulic system installation and repair, and fabrication of custom components. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, capable of welding steel, stainless steel and aluminum, safety-focused, and comfortable working on large truck bodies and heavy equipment. If you take pride in your welding and fabrication skills and enjoy working on large equipment this is a role where your experience truly shows. You won’t be stuck doing the same repetitive work every day you’ll be repairing, modifying, and building real equipment that gets used in the field.
Schedule
Full-time - Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Repair, modify, and rebuild truck and trailer frames
- Fabricate custom components and install modifications
- Weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in multiple positions
- Install truck beds, spreaders, and specialty equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems including PTOs, pumps, and hoses
- Fit and install hydraulic components and connections
- Repair feed bodies, augers, and conveyor systems
- Install and service tarp systems and auxiliary equipment
- Operate shop equipment including forklifts, hoists, and fabrication tools
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and fabrication background
- Proven welding experience (MIG/TIG preferred)
- Experience working on trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and work from measurements or basic drawings
- Comfortable working with large components and in different positions
- Dependable with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unassisted
- Comfortable standing, bending, and working in various welding positions
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen
Work schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
