Overview
Black Bear Talent is seeking actively recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our client in Salem, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. This role requires a blend of electrical and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities effectively. This position is a full-time permanent position.
Hours are Monday - Friday from 7AM - 4:30PM.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various facilities systems, including electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within specifications.
- Engage in residential painting duties to maintain aesthetic standards of the facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- High School Diploma required additional schooling and training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial or manufacturing facilities, maintenance practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in both speaking and writing in English for effective communication.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot various equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with painting techniques to enhance facility appearance.
