The EVS Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, servicing, and replenishing duties in assigned areas in accordance with sanitation and cleanliness standards. Adheres to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
This position works on one of the following shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, or 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
What You’ll Do
- Provide daily housekeeping services in assigned areas, including 7-step cleaning procedures.
- Clean lounges, restrooms, public areas, and offices.
- Pick up waste, empty garbage, sanitize containers, and replace trash can liners.
- Replenish soap, paper towels, and tissue supplies as needed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies; report deficiencies in equipment, furniture, or fixtures.
- Service and clean rooms upon vacancy.
- Maintain privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Promote positive relationships and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Attend in-services, department meetings, and complete required competency and continuing education requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including Fall Precaution Guidelines and infection control protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred, but training is provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established cleaning procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance
- Ability to maintain patient safety and follow infection control protocols
- Availability to work steady schedule with structured shifts and weekend and holiday rotation
