Position Overview
Black Bear Talent is seeking dependable and detail oriented Building Associates to join a growing manufacturing team. This position supports the production process by assembling, measuring, and building components according to work orders and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 1:00pm with overtime as required
Key Responsibilities
- Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and specifications to complete assigned tasks accurately
- Measure materials and components using a tape measure and basic measuring tools
- Perform basic assembly, building, or fabrication tasks as part of the production process
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
- Lift and move materials and finished products up to 30 pounds
- Remain standing and actively working for the duration of the shift
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Cross train in multiple departments and assist in other areas of the facility as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures
- Work overtime when required to meet production demands
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred
- 1 to 2 years of woodworking or carpentry experience is helpful
- Ability to read and follow written work orders and instructions
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual work in a manufacturing environment
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to cross train in multiple areas of the facility
- Must be available to work overtime when needed
- Must successfully pass a pre employment background check and drug screen
