Black Bear Talent is urgently seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accounting Manager for a client.. This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing general ledger functions, coordinating multi-entity consolidations, and managing timely financial close activities across US operations. The Accounting Manager will ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls within a dynamic multinational environment.
This position does not offer relocation assistance. Successful candidate would be required to relocate on their own prior to start.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting.
- Manage multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- Interpret and apply accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS, as applicable.
- Support external audits and internal control reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Review and approve complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to finance team members.
- Collaborate with global finance teams across multiple regions to ensure consistent reporting standards.
- Support management reporting and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Strong expertise in general ledger accounting and multi-entity consolidations.
- Deep understanding of multinational accounting environments and intercompany structures.
- ERP system experience required; Oracle and/or SAP strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Textile or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA license preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting with occasional standing and walking.
- Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
- Light lifting (up to 5 pounds) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to maintain sustained focus, analytical reasoning, and attention to detail.
