Black Bear Talent is seeking a Cost Accounting Analyst for our client. This position will be a direct hire role. This role is responsible for cost accounting, period end cost close, and financial analysis supporting manufacturing operations. The position will also provide support across general accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets as workload distribution requires.
This position does not offer relocation assistance. Successful candidate would be required to relocate on their own prior to start.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform monthly cost close activities including inventory valuation and cost roll forwards.
• Analyze manufacturing variances including material, labor, and overhead.
• Maintain and update standard costs.
• Perform cost related reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Support intercompany cost allocations and related reconciliations.
• Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Asset accounting functions as needed.
• Prepare management reporting related to cost, inventory, and product margins.
• Provide documentation and analysis in support of internal and external audit requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability.
• Ability to communicate financial results clearly to non finance stakeholders.
• Experience within textile or manufacturing industries preferred.
• Experience working within multinational accounting environments is a plus.
• Hands on involvement with cost accounting system implementations or improvements is highly desirable.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance preferred.
• Experience working within a multinational organization preferred.
