Black Bear Talent is seeking a detail oriented Production Scheduler to develop and manage manufacturing schedules that optimize resources and ensure on time delivery. This role is responsible for managing job orders to support the annual build plan, monitoring production progress, and proactively collaborating with internal teams to resolve material shortages and keep production running efficiently.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly production schedules aligned with the annual build plan for assigned finished goods
- Monitor work in progress and adjust schedules in real time to address equipment downtime, material shortages, or rush orders
- Partner with procurement to ensure material availability and prevent production delays
- Coordinate with shipping and logistics to ensure on time delivery commitments are met
- Maintain accurate and up to date data within the ERP system, reflecting current priorities and production status
- Generate and distribute reports on key production and scheduling performance metrics
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of education
- 2 to 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working within an ERP system preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screen
