Position Overview
Black Bear Talent is recruiting a Support Machine Operator. This position is responsible for safely operating equipment, supporting production goals, and contributing to continuous improvement within a team-based manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
Shift Schedule: This is a 12-hour night shift position working a 2 - 2 - 3. Starting pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner, adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Actively participate in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
Production & Quality
- Meet or exceed established productivity and performance standards.
- Complete all required production, quality, and safety documentation accurately and timely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve quality or productivity issues related to equipment or team processes.
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Coordinate with Lab personnel, Team Leaders, and Senior Team Leaders to address issues and implement improvements.
Continuous Improvement & Teamwork
- Maintain a positive team-oriented attitude and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Identify and suggest improvements to processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Support and uphold 6S standards and perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Obtain and maintain required Operator Certifications.
- Assist with training and mentoring other team members as needed.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Obtain and maintain Operator Certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background checks.
