Black Bear Talent is hiring a Night Shift Maintenance Lead in Waynesboro, VA!
This is more than a maintenance role you’ll be the go-to leader on nights, owning equipment reliability, supporting your team, and keeping production on track when it matters most.
Qualifications:
- Lead and support maintenance technicians during overnight operations
- Respond to equipment issues and direct repairs to minimize downtime
- Jump in hands-on during critical breakdowns when needed
- Coach and develop your team while setting clear expectations
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability and maintenance processes
- Partner with production to plan and execute maintenance work
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with standards
- Assist with inventory, parts, and cost control
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
- At least 1 year leading or supervising a team
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
- Familiarity with drives, HMIs, and industrial controls
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments
- Able to work around noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Work schedule
- 12 hour shift
- Night shift
