Job Summary
The Lead Maintenance will supervise the site maintenance team to achieve plant performance goals through effective leadership, problem-solving, labor management, and continuous improvement. Ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while driving equipment reliability and team development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and enforce all safety objectives, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Supervise and develop maintenance personnel; manage hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Direct immediate and planned repairs to minimize downtime and maximize labor efficiency.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and process excellence.
- Set and track accountability for problem-solving, cost control, and reliability improvements.
- Maintain ISO-compliant maintenance and regulatory documentation.
- Support budget development, cost control, and stockroom inventory management.
- Coordinate planned downtime with production schedules.
- Ensure effective 6S and TPM implementation.
- Partner with HR on employee relations and workforce planning.
- Serve as backup for Reliability Leader and train designated backups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and manual handling of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb up to 200 feet, enter confined spaces, and work at heights.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and industrial machinery; PPE required in designated areas.
Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years in maintenance or reliability within manufacturing, including 1+ year of supervisory experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CMRT, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- OSHA 30-hour and CPR/First Aid/BBP certification required or eligible.
