Black Bear Talent is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our client in Waynesboro. The Quality Control Technician to perform final inspection of completed parts prior to shipment. This role ensures products meet customer, print, and internal requirements before leaving the facility. The position plays a key role in maintaining product quality by identifying issues before parts reach the customer.
Hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30AM - 3:00PM
Key Responsibilities
• Perform final inspection of completed parts prior to shipment
• Verify conformance to blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements
• Use precision measuring instruments to validate dimensions and tolerances
• Identify and document nonconforming products
• Communicate quality concerns to production and management for resolution
• Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and labeling of outgoing product
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
• Support in-process inspections as needed, with primary focus on final inspection
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
Core Skills & Experience
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Understanding of tolerances
• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
Safety & Compliance
• Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with customer and internal quality standards
• Maintain proper documentation and traceability practices
Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand and move throughout the shift (8 to 10 hours)
• Handle parts and measuring equipment with precision
Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years in quality inspection or manufacturing
• Experience inspecting fabricated or machined parts
• Familiarity with ISO style quality systems or documented procedures
